Can't Stop The Pie
Dan and Kristin Karabacz moved back to Michigan from Colorado to raise a family, and start a business.
First came the family (enter baby Jacqueline), and then came the opportunity to re-envision a Traverse City favorite: Alley's Market.
Known for its excellent Detroit Style Pizza, the Alley's location was the perfect spot for Dan to revive this classic style and expand the menu with specialty sandwiches and fresh seasonal salads, made with quality products from local vendors.
Enter: Charles and Reid.
But plans to open as a fully-functional, sit-down restaurant with diverse menu have been put on a slight hold.
With COVID-19 looming, Charle and Reid had to scale back, deciding instead to make our debut with what we are known for: The Pizza.
As time allows, we will move forward with our initial plans for a robust menu and extended hours. But for now, we will a offering limited (but not boring) pizza options for curbside or counter pick-up.

CALL TO ORDER
If the line is busy, keep trying. We are on the phone taking orders.
Pick Up Rules
1. WE ARE A FAMILY
A few guys and a couple of gals are running this business.
We ask for your patience when ordering and picking up.
2. A SHORT WAIT
It takes us about 22 minutes to bake your pizza. That means there may be a wait.
Estimated pick up times will be given when you order.
3. COUNTER ORDERING/PICK UP
If you'd like to place an order in person we have a few simple guidelines in place to keep us all safe:
Enter through main alley door and exit through back into parking lot.
Please wear a mask and practice social distancing (we're sending hugs from 6ft away)
and follow the marked path through the restaurant.
4. CURBSIDE ORDERING/PICK UP
No mask? No problem! Please call 231-252-3497 to place your order, and again when you arrive.
City Parking is available while you wait, and we'll run your order out to you when it is ready.

Detroit Style Pizza. Some say it's a myth. Charles and Reid kindly disagrees.
Traditionally baked in pans, this iconic style is most known for its square shape and thick layer of rich sauce on top.
Whether it's simply cheese, heavy on the meat or veggies only, Charles and Reid will be tossing a Detroit tradition right in Downtown Traverse City.
That's Dan. And that's Kristin and baby Jacqueline.
Here is more room for an awesome bio about Dan.
